(Rusty) Beginner Classes
Our rusty beginner classes are for those people who are not completely new to Spanish, but feel they need a reminder of some of the fundamentals again.
Our classes won’t start from complete zero, but will cover common, everyday expressions, and focus on beginner vocabulary and grammar. We won’t force you to speak Spanish until you feel ready, but will certainly encourage you to try from day 1 (even if it’s the simplest phrase!).

Cover essential grammar including ser and estar, interrogatives, common verbs and conjugations in the present tense, using tú and usted, prepositions, gustar and encantar.
Build on your foundation
Expand your mastery of verbs, learning the present continuous, ir a future, and verbs of obligation and opinion.
Continue covering the basics
Learn and practise more service-based Spanish to help you on your travels, including phone calls, reservations, and more.
Learn how to use ice-breakers to strike up conversations, make complaints, and learn how to make your argument.
No! Our courses are structured so that there is a progression between them, but if you have already studied some of the fundamentals you will be able to slot into any of the courses.
We’ll send over details of all the classes, so you can add them to your calendar. We’ll add you to our Google Classroom, and send a few other materials to make sure you’re ready for the classes.
Yes. Teachers will set homework to be completed between classes, and the first few minutes of each class will be dedicated to review.
You’ll have access to all class materials (and homework) in the Google classroom, so you can see exactly what you’ve missed and what you need to do to catch up. We don’t record any of the lessons.
Pro members get 20% off all academy courses (make sure you log in, and you’ll see a coupon code to use at the top of the page).
If you are booking more than one course, or for more than one person, get in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we can put together flexible packages based on your needs.
We’ve found that having students placed in the right levels is the most important factor for a successful class environment.
That’s why, in addition to offering the free consultation, we run all of our classes with spare capacity, so that we can move students between classes as needed.
If you find your class too easy or too difficult let us know and we’ll offer alternatives.
Your teacher may also make a recommendation for a different group after your first class.
No. We use our own materials, so you do not have to buy anything separately.
