Buenos días, buenas tardes and welcome to another episode of Spanish Obsessed I'm Rob and today, i'm not joined by Lis. She's actually taking a little break and we're mixing things up a little. So bienvenida a Johanna. Who is a Spanish teacher from, of course, Colombia. And she recently helped us in our Bogota immersion trip as the all-star teacher and she'll actually be joining us again in our soldout July trip. Which is coming up soon. In this episode with Johanna, we give our advice for Spanish slang. What is it? How should we learn it? Should we learn it? And what are the pitfalls? If at some point during this episode you hear a little voice in the background, then that's my daughter Ana Paz. I haven't been able to completely sound proof the studio yet. So that day was off nursery and we get an extra participant in the conversation as we all episodes, listen free to the audio and upgrade to Pro for transcription and other bonuses and if you'd like to find out more about a Pro membership and other upcoming immersion trips head to SpanishObssesed.com and you'll see the relevant links in the header. Sigamos con el episodio.

Bueno, hoy estamos acompañados por Johanna. ¿Te parece si te presento Johanna y tú me corriges?
Well, today we're joined by Johanna. Would you like me to introduce you to Johanna and you can correct me if I'm wrong?
De acuerdo.
OK.
Bueno, primero que todo. ¿Cómo estás?
Well, first of all, how are you?
Great, Rob. Thank you very much, I hope you are too and that everyone is well.
Bueno, muchas gracias.
Okay, thank you very much. So Johanna is a Spanish teacher. She just told me she's not a linguist, but she has a background in journalism and communication. She worked with us on our first immersion trip, where she was the star teacher. The best part of the whole week was her classes with the students who recently joined us in Bogotá. So Johanna is going to record some episodes here with me, and well, Johanna, tell us a little bit about yourself, your story, and... And we can start the episode.
Gracias Rob.
Thank you, Rob. It's a pleasure to be with you all. My name is Johanna López, and I'm a Spanish teacher, teaching Spanish as a foreign language, second language, or additional language. I'm very happy to be part of the Spanish teaching and learning process at the Spanish Obsessed Academy. And yes, I'm very happy to have accompanied that first group of people who came to Colombia for the immersion program.
Bueno, y píntanos el dibujo. ¿Dónde estás en este momento?
Okay, paint us a picture. Where are you right now?
