Lis, te veo cansada.Vocab te veo cansada – ‘you look tired’. Ver + adjective is a natural way to comment on how someone looks: te veo muy bien, te veo preocupado. ¿Qué pasó anoche?
Lis, you look tired. What happened last night?
Sí. TrasnochéVocab Trasnochar: 'To stay up all night' un poco.
Yeah. I stayed up a little late.
¿Por qué? Yo también, tengo que decir.
Why? Me too, I have to say.
Porque estábamos como locos con ganas de terminar la serie de traidores.
Because we were madly looking forward to finishing the traitor series.
Sí, en inglés, se llama "Traitors", que salió en la BBC. Hay dos series y acabamos de terminar la segunda serie.Correction la segunda temporada – ‘the second series/season’. Rob says la segunda serie, copying British English. In Spanish una serie is the whole show and each run of episodes is a temporada: hay dos temporadas y acabamos de terminar la segunda. Normalmente no me enganchanVocab Enganchar: 'To hook'. Used when addicted on something: me engancha - 'I'm hooked' las series, pero esta serie ha sido muy buena. ¿Cierto?.
Yeah, in English, it's called Traitors, which is on the BBC. There are two series and we've just finished the second series. I don't normally get hooked on series, but this series has been very good, hasn't it?
Sí. Si, a mí también me ha... me ha enganchado, aunque a veces me cuesta entender ciertas cosas. Pero sí que es muy interesante.
Yeah. Yeah, I've also been... I've been hooked, although sometimes it's hard for me to understand certain things. But it's very interesting.
Sí, y ha sido... ha tenido mucha cogida.Correction tener acogida – 'to be well received'. Rob says ha tenido mucha cogida here, but the word is acogida: ha tenido mucha acogida ('it's been very well received').
Yeah, and it's been... it's had a big reception.
